Characteristics: Fall, Inward direction, movement and energy (like a flower closing its petals) , taste--spicy and pungent, color--white, nature, minerals, stones, round shapes, breath, creativity. People with dominant Metal element have a tendency to be perfectionists, creative and detail orientated. They are able to hyperfocus while simultaneously seeing the big picture.They live meaningful lives with purpose, they are highly spiritual and tend to live in the present moment.

The season of the Metal element is autumn; the direction is inward. I personally think of the fall as a time to go inward, to slow down and discover my true color, my inner-self. I found the fall to be like a muse as the changing of the leaves brings us enchantment and dreams. It is a time of delicate beauty, and a time of self-work, both spiritually and physically, to welcome the Water element and season of winter. It is a time of thanksgiving and gratitude.
